Logo Apple pertama kali didesain oleh Ronald Wayne pada tahun 1976 (salah satu pendiri Apple) , pemakaian logo berupa buah apel itu ternyata berdasarkan pada pengalaman Issac Newton yang menemukan adanya gaya gravitasi antar planet ketika duduk di bawah pohon apel.

Pemakaian logo buah apel yang pertama ini ternyata kurang menjanjikan karena rupanya logo tersebut terlalu kompleks dan memang omset penjualan produk Apple kala itu kurang menjanjikan.

Baru setelah itu, ketika Steve Jobs bergabung dengan Apple dan meminta Rob Janoff untuk mendesain logo Apple yang kedua dan dipakai sampai sekarang, penjualan produk-produk Apple menjadi bagian dari penguasa teknologi dunia.
