As you upgrade ROM WM6.1 for PocketPC HTC Touch P3450
That’s me to describe the path step by step to replace the ROM of your PocketPC HTC Touch P3450 with a “cooked” by the various fans in the sector based on Windows Mobile 6.1.
To correct a successful follow these instructions carefully that there will also proceed inverse in case you need to return to use your drive.
IMPORTANT: Before flashing your HTC remember that flash lose all data, programs, settings mms, e-mail, SMS etc.… save by only files in external MiniSD card. Also before leaving with the operation controlled the level of battery that must pass at least a 50% interest in the office or you can not flashing.
DISCLAIMER: This guide is written for information purposes only. The upgrade of your device is completely under your responsibility. Htcblog.com is not responsible for damage or loss of data resulting from update of your Pocket PC. Read the instructions and remember that installing the unofficial ROM on your mobile device miss the original warranty issued by HTC.
The procedure is not as difficult but cmq before starting care must be taken to certain things:
1. Do not ever interrupt the connection between our Touch and the PC you are using for Update because it could also very rare if not allocate more your Touch.
2. Remove SIM MICROSD from handheld before starting the operation of flashing
3. The handheld is better if is charged with more than 60% of battery
4. Better that the PC you are using has no power cuts (much better then if you use a laptop)
5. Ah else for me obvious but very important, make a backup of data in the handheld when the first of flashing, I will give you advice PIMBackup
Top of the proceedings update:

1. Download the archive Enable-rapi.zip (link for download at the end of post), unpack and transfer Touch in memory of the two files Cert_SPCS.cab and EnableRapi.cab, and then install them in with whom I have written them and run a soft-reset (reboot of Touch)
2. Download the archive ELF_USPL-v1.zip (link for download at the end of post), and unpack it in a folder that nominerei with the same name. Turn the Touch (if you have not already done so), connect to the PC via ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center (for users who use Windows Vista) and run from the folder in which you have checked out the ELF_USPL-v1. Zip file Elf - uspl.exe. Follow the directions on the screen (this is the screen that must be present) touchaggiornamentorom
3. The installation consists of 3 shares and each of them must press ENTER when prompted to continue.
Be careful at the end of step that the two screen handheld is white ActiveSync or WMDC is grey. If so, then continue to step 3, otherwise interrupt the procedure (CTRL + C), soft-reset to Touch and proceedings CID unlock. If everything is gone as planned you have unlocked the CID. If in step 2 / 3 there appears the bootloader with 3 colors instead of a white screen, then the installation failed, and then press Ctrl + C and repeat the procedure without detach the device USB.
4. At this point you can flashing for all intents and purposes the ROM of your touch with what’s for you. You have to unpack the folder ROM that you have chosen to flashing on the device, once scompattao everything in the folder you created a file called ROMUpdateUtility.exe, here do leave and follow signs elementary on the screen after loading the bar have flash your ROM .
5. The handheld will restart with the new ROM and at this point I recommend a nice hard-reset so that the new ROM start all processes of loading. If during the installation of the new ROM should appear a mistake video with a specific number of council not detach USB the Touch and repeat the operation.
Finally, I would remind you that with this procedure and any other leading to a release of CID you are losing the guarantee of the device since the bootloader is not official.
